Jet2.com to Expand Routes from Manchester Airport by Summer

A low-cost British airline, Jet2.com announced the upcoming launch of three new routes from Manchester Airport by summer next year. The airline and airport welcomes its first route to Brive (Dordogne).

“We are delighted to be able to introduce the new route of Brive (Dordogne) to Manchester Airport, along with two new routes to Cyprus and extra flights to some of our most popular holiday routes,” Philip Meeson, Chief Executive Officer of Jet2.com said.

The newest route expansion marks the airline’s 34th destination from Manchester Airport, providing more than a million seats annually. Expected to capture more vacationers next year, the flights to Brive will offer the best access to the valley of Dordogne for expatriates and home owners for a low fare starting price of £39.99 ($61.83) for a one-way ticket including taxes. Starting from May to September 2011, Brive flights will service the region twice weekly.

Offering the best low fare tickets to reach the magnificent destination, two other routes in Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus are also set to launch by summer 2011. These flights will be serviced by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. Launching on April 6th, Paphos flights will depart twice in a week, while Larnaca flights departing every Saturday starting May 14th. Jet2.com offers an affordable one way flight including taxes starting £69.99 ($108.21) while Jet2holiday offer value package deals with their £299 ($462.21) round-trip fares.

Moreover, the airline is set to offer more flexible flights next year by by adding more flights to some of the popular vacation destinations in North East Europe including Pisa, Venice, Monastir, Murcia,  Palma, Nice, Malaga and Funchal.

For Jet2.com Venice flights, the airline is set to add four to six services weekly while in Nice, flights will be expanded from five to six more in a week, with additional Saturday operations to Majorca and Sunday services to Murcia. Malaga will soon offer daily flights while the famous Pisa will have additional five services weekly, and both Funchal and Monastir will add one to two operational days weekly.
