Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside Upgrades with Flyte Systems Applications

Holiday Inn, a hotel and resort brand under the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), recently upgraded its already top-quality services with the installation of Flyte Systems flight information in its Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside hotel. The leading provider of displays for airport travel information and hospitality industry content, and digital signage for convention centers and related businesses, Flyte Systems announced recently that it has completed implementation of its FlyteBoard real-time airline flight information display and FlytePass airline boarding pass printing service at the 235-room hotel.

Flyte Sytems displays accurate, real-time airline flight arrival and departure information which are not FAA-regulated, thus separating them apart from other PC-based applications that do not post delays caused by air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, crew availability and weather. Many hotel properties use the company’s applications to increase revenue with new marketing approaches for distraught travelers.

“Travelers today expect real-time airport flight information at their hotel and Flyte Systems uses the latest technology to keep our guests informed about their flights,” explained Jodie Langhammer, CMP, National Sales Manager for the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside. “Customer service is the highest priority at our hotel and providing Flyte Systems’ airport information is an excellent way to give our guests the highest level of service.”

Langhammer added, “We specialize in hosting military reunions, and most of the attendees are senior citizens. We feel it is very important to keep their travel days as stress free as possible.  By providing FlyteBoard and FlytePass service, we make it easier for all our guests to travel.” A majority of the guests that stay at the hotel, travel in and out the city through San Diego International Airport. In June, 2010, Holiday Inn San Diegp Bayside was chosen by USA Today as “One of the Top 10 Great Places to hold a Reunion.”

It is a fact that fog can make flying in and out of San Diego as unpredictable as a Holly Golightly. Having the FlyteBoard with Doppler radar display will offer guests a big amount of help in planning their daily itineraries.

The Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside qualified and became part of the Holiday Inn brand relaunch in 2009. This event allowed the property to be more contemporary and competitive in the market.  The hotel’s implementation of Flyte Systems flight information and boarding pass printing is only part of the property’s total upgrade program.
