Mountain Retreat Resort Finds Home under Grand Pacific Resort’s Management

Grand Pacific Resort Management (GPRM) has been honored to handle the management of the RCI Gold Crown resort, Mountain Retreat Resort in Arnold, California.

Mountain Retreat is nestled in the Sierra pines of Calaveras County, and is within 2-4 hours drive from Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and the San Francisco Bay area. The resort was purpose-built in 1982 and now features duplex mountain-style units with numerous entries and configurations that offer optimum privacy.

Tom Porter of Deerwood Corporation, Mountain Retreat’s original developer, has been managing the resort since it was built 28 years ago. GPRM has begun providing resort management services with a regular transition as of August 1.

According to GPRM Vice President – Operations Nigel Lobo, the contract with Mountain Retreats marks a new beginning.

“As we’ve expanded our horizons more resorts and homeowners associations know we are also fully equipped to help them enjoy the rewards our industry has to offer. Grand Pacific Resort Management is backed with over twenty years of experience and can provide all the necessary resources to deliver new options in resort development and management services,” Lobo said.

Meanwhile, Tom Porter, who is part of the original team who developed and managed the resort for almost three decades, said that they were moved by the efforts of GPRM in managing the resort as if it was their very own property.

“It has been operated by us since the eighties, and we always knew that if we entrusted Mountain Retreat to anyone else, it would have to be because of a dedication to our jewel here in the foothills of the Sierra. Their passion for service, as well as the quality and depth of services were the reasons we chose GPRM for this transition,” Porter said.
