Crowne Plaza Syracuse Downtown Opens After $5M Renovation

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) recently announced the opening of the Crowne Plaza Syracuse Downtown, a property that, prior to its launch, underwent a $5-million renovation and upgrade. Aside from its newly refurbished facilities, the 20-story hotel also offers one of the most convenient accommodation sites for travelers of all sorts, being within seven miles of Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Situated at 701 E. Genesee St., half a mile away from Syracuse University campus and less than three miles from Le Moyne College, the property is easily just a short distance from the OnCenter Convention Center Complex and the Carrier Dome.

Additionally, the New York State Fairgrounds, Armory Square, home to restaurants and entertainment scenes, Upstate Medical University, University Hospital and regional facilities of Bristol-Myers Squibb and Lockheed Martin, are all very accessible from the hotel.

Crowne Plaza Syracuse Downtown has 12,500 square feet of upscale meeting rooms with 279 guestrooms, including three suites- all newly renovated. Guests have access to a wide array of amenities, including HSIA Wi-Fi throughout the property, a fitness room and business center. Special amenities of the hotel include banquet halls and event space, including a conference center that can accommodate up to 200 people. For special events, guests can enjoy panoramic views of downtown Syracuse from the 20th floor Horizons room.

The hotel also has a three-meal restaurant, Redfield’s, as well as the Library Lounge, which serves cocktails and light fare. Other amenities include covered parking, daily newspapers for guests, in-room coffee and in-room safes.

Crowne Plaza’s comprehensive meetings program guarantees a flawless planning process and outstanding meeting experience consisting of three key components: a Two-Hour Response Guarantee, a Crowne Meetings Director and a Daily Meetings Debrief.

The Crowne Plaza Syracuse Downtown is owned by Richfield Syracuse Hotel Partners, LLC and managed by Richfield Hospitality, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
